NORTHROP GRUMMAN CORPORATION RECOGNIZES WESTERN AERO WITH 2019 WORLD CLASS TEAM SUPPLIER AWARD
Western Aero, a Denver-based commercial and military spare parts and overhaul/repair facility was recognized as one of 28 small businesses last month for their significant contributions and performances as outstanding suppliers to Northrop Grumman.
The 2019 World Class Team Supplier Award is given to those companies who undergo extensive review and excel in technical capability and performance, cost competitiveness, product and service quality, and outstanding program support.
Western Aero is a spare part and overhaul facility to the worlds B707 and DC-10 market including, KC-135, KC-10, DC-10, JSTARS, E-6B, AND E-3 aircraft. Founded in 1989 in Colorado, Western Aero Services quickly became known for its expertise with 707 aircraft. Over the past two decades, Western Aero Services has expanded its operations to include a woman-owned airframe repair facility—Western Aero Repair—and has grown its inventory and knowledge base to include a wider range of Boeing and Douglas aircraft, including B707, B727, B737, B747, and DC-10 aircraft. In early 2012, the company moved its operations base to a new state of the art repair and manufacturing facility in Denver, Colorado. In 2015, American Jet Industries joined the Western Aero portfolio of companies – this California-based aircraft parts and equipment company provides purchasing solutions, exchange programs, consignment programs, and expert parts review.
